Shooter - Capture Screenshots at any size
This is my experience with the shooter Firefox add on.
Shooter Firefox add on is used to taking or shooting screen-shots at any size, either full page or part of the page.
I installed this add on and after restarting the browser I found a black color camera icon in the right end of the status bar. I clicked the camera icon eagerly expecting to find the options or a small window, opened to edit the options if any. It opened none of the above.
I was disappointed for the few seconds and then suddenly I found an additional window opened. When I visited the window, I saw the screenshot of the page I clicked and different options in the bottom of the window.
I saw the four options PNG high quality, JPEG high, low and middle to select as the image format .
The new thing in this add on which I found interesting is the ability to select the part of the page and save it easily. Without this add on I need to open the image editing software and do it separately. Compared to that I found use of this add on saves me much time.
You can also bring the shooter camera icon to near the address bar, if you feel it as comfortable. By right clicking the menu bar and selecting customize and place the shooter icon near the address bar and your browser will appear to the screenshot below.
How I got to know about this add on?
I got a chance to visit the site http://www.onlinecourses.org/2009/09/28/99-awesome-firefox-add-ons-for-educators/. This page contains a list of 99 add ons. Though they named this site as add ons for educators, I will tell these add on are also useful for everyone who use Firefox daily.
I skimmed through the list and found this shooter add on interesting. I used it and this post is dedicated to this add on.
Install this add on from the mozilla site and share your experience in comments.
